Meet the Teams Competing on Season 19 of 'The Great Food Truck Race'

The Great Food Truck Race is back, and this time, we're taking on the Great Smoky Mountains. A challenge unlike any season that’s come before it, Season 19 features four sweet and four savory teams with more than a few mountains to climb, as success isn't just about sales anymore.

For the first time ever, the bottom two teams in each episode will go head-to-head in a redemption battle, where great taste can keep them in the race and alive for a chance to ride away with bragging rights and the $50,000 grand prize. Tune in to the season premiere Sunday, July 26 at 9|8c.

Before we meet our teams, let's reintroduce our longtime host, Tyler Florence. After hosting The Great Food Truck Race for 18 seasons, you'd think he might have lost his edge. But heading into Season 19, Tyler is more amped than ever to get things rollin'.

Kicking off the tour in one of his favorite cities, Nashville, Tennessee, the decorated chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and philanthropist brings decades of experience to the competition as he guides the teams through every twist, turn and high-stakes challenge on the road to victory.

Family is at the heart of Cason Funnel Cakes, where brothers Andre and TC team up with their cousin Moe to serve up over-the-top funnel cakes with plenty of personality. What started with a tent and a church-donated work van has earned them a shot on The Great Food Truck Race after making a name for themselves serving hungry customers throughout Richmond, Virginia. Now, they're ready to hit the road in their very first food truck and prove they have what it takes to go all the way.

Waffadilla is putting a crispy new spin on comfort food with waffle-pressed quesadillas stuffed with unexpected flavors and finished with crispy cheese on the outside. Madison, her younger brother, Gavin, and her husband, Shawn, proudly represent the Chicago area with a menu that's all about making people smile one bite at a time. For this close-knit family, sharing great food is just another way of sharing the love.

Hailing from the home of the beignet, Duana, daughter Dionne and her father, Sherman, are on a mission to prove there's more than one way to enjoy the beloved French pastry. Since opening their family-run business in 2016, Stuph'd Beignets & Burgers has been reimagining the classic New Orleans treat with unique sweet and savory stuffed creations. Now, they're ready to introduce the rest of the country to their delicious twist on a hometown favorite.

Traveling all the way from Mākakilo, Hawaii, Hele Rolls owners Jasmine, her life partner, Kawai, and their close friend, Mari, are bringing a taste of the islands to The Great Food Truck Race with warm, light and fluffy cinnamon rolls featuring a Hawaiian twist. From classic favorites to creations you may have never seen before, they're ready to take a big swing and knock the other teams out of the competition.

Joey has been making cannoli for as long as he can remember, learning the craft alongside his grandmother in the kitchen. Now, joined by his husband, Matt, and their support system, Dina, the trio behind Bug & Bear's Cannoli is sharing handmade Italian desserts that stay true to tradition while adding a twist of their own. Their motto says it best: "traditionally untraditional."

Dante, Thomas and Lisa are the creative minds behind DeadProof Pizza Co., a mobile pizza pop-up from Derry, New Hampshire. While they have plenty of respect for the classics, they see pizza as an open canvas for bold flavors and inventive combinations. With a weekly rotating menu that also features smashburgers, fried pickles, wings and more, they may be better prepared than most to tackle whatever The Great Food Truck Race throws their way.

At Grounds Donut House, Gabby, her mother, Mela, and her mother-in-law, Steph, are always pushing the limits of what's possible with a doughnut. Their family-run business has grown from its Boogie Down Bronx roots to three locations across New York and Connecticut, thanks to over-the-top creations that keep customers coming back for more. With their biggest stage now in front of them, they're hoping their larger-than-life doughnuts are just as unforgettable as they are.

By way of Baltimore, Maryland, Ethel, Andrea and her husband, Lekan, of team Jollof Bowl are serving up West African cuisine rooted in authentic flavors and time-honored recipes. Their build-your-own bowls showcase the bold spices and traditions that have shaped generations of cooking, giving customers a taste of Africa with every bite.
