Ask and You Shall Receive! White Claw Drops Three New Flavors
Who’s ready for summer?!
White Claw Hard Seltzer: You know it, you love it, you most definitely stocked up on it during the national shortage last year. Now, there’s another reason to run to your nearest grocery store and grab a pack of this fizzy, low-cal drink — White Claw is launching brand-new flavors.
Yup. It’s true. Social media’s favorite hard seltzer has released not one, not two, but three new varieties: Tangerine, Watermelon and Lemon. And as it turns out, allllll your tweets and Instagram posts during “White Claw Summer” and beyond calling for new flavors might have made it happen.
According to the company, over 70,000 fans clamored for new White Claw flavors over the past 16 months, with watermelon being the most popular request. This social media frenzy prompted the hard seltzer brand to brew these fruity new blends.
Like the other six White Claw flavors, the Watermelon, Tangerine and Lemon offerings are made using a blend of seltzer water, fruit flavor and a gluten-free alcohol base. Each can clocks in at just 100 calories and two grams of sugar, and the newest White Claws are available in a 12-can variety pack alongside the mango flavor, which is appearing in a variety pack for the first time since its conception in 2017.
We got a taste of the new White Claws before their eagerly anticipated release, and we have a feeling they might rival Black Cherry for the number one spot in your heart (and your cooler!).
Our personal favorite was the watermelon-flavored White Claw. As soon as you crack open the can, it’s impossible not to notice the sweet smell of melon. Sometimes watermelon-flavored drinks and foods can taste syrupy and artificial, but we thought the Watermelon White Claw’s flavor was natural and refreshing.
We also couldn’t get enough of the Lemon White Claw — it was a close second! According to the brand, the lemon flavor has been in development for over two years. To capture that true lemon flavor, White Claw uses real, hand-picked lemons. We liked that this hard seltzer wasn’t overly lemony, and the flavor was clean and subtle, making for a crisp drink. It tasted as if someone had just squeezed a fresh lemon wedge into the can.
We felt the same way about the tangerine-flavored White Claw. It boasted hints of citrus flavor while still being more sweet than tart. We liken it to the Ruby Grapefruit flavor: if you’re a grapefruit or citrus fan, the Tangerine White Claw is a must-try.
So… ready for summer yet?
