The refreshing hard seltzer trend has been fierce in recent years, as interest in flavored sparkling waters progressed to interest in those same seltzers, but boozy. And now, Topo Chico is launching a new Margarita Hard Seltzer to the mix.
This isn’t the first hard seltzer Topo Chico has released – they came out with one and Ranch Water Hard Seltzer before now – but this new margarita incarnation is perfectly timed for Cinco de Mayo and summer beach days.
The new Margarita Hard Seltzer will come in a variety pack featuring four flavors: Signature Margarita, Tropical Pineapple, Strawberry Hibiscus and Prickly Pear, and each can will be 100 calories with a 4.5 percent ABV.
“Everyone loves a good margarita – it’s the No. 1 cocktail on-premise for a reason and a natural fit for a brand like Topo Chico Hard Seltzer,” says Matt Escalante, vice president of hard seltzers at Molson Coors Beverage Co., in a press release. “So we took what drinkers look for in a margarita – everything from the salty rim to the exotic fruit flavors and citrusy finish – and put it into an easy drinking hard seltzer.”
As it’s a hard seltzer and not a traditional margarita, this canned beverage offers a lighter version of a Taco Tuesday favorite, but with notes of lime, salt and tequila, to make sure the flavor balance margarita lovers crave is all there.
The Topo Chico Margarita Hard Seltzer variety pack is now available for purchase nationwide.
