It’s shaping up to be another hard seltzer summer.

Molson Coors Beverage Company, which owns Topo Chico Mineral Water, announced today that an alcoholic version of the popular carbonated beverage is slated to be available in various parts of the country later this month.

The new drink, Topo Chico Hard Seltzer, was first teased last July. It will officially hit shelves on March 29 and is “made in the spirit of Topo Chico Mineral Water.” As you may have guessed, it combines purified spiked sparkling water, natural flavors and minerals. The result is a boozy beverage with a crisp, refreshing finish.

What’s more? Topo Chico Hard Seltzer also boasts two grams of sugar for a touch of sweetness and a 4.7 percent ABV. By comparison, each can of White Claw has 5 percent ABV.

“We are seeing incredible excitement for the launch of Topo Chico Hard Seltzer with drinkers and retailers alike,” Matt Escalante, senior director of seltzers at Molson Coors, said in a press release shared with Food Network. “Topo Chico Hard Seltzer is a modern take on refreshment that brings entirely new character to the red-hot seltzer category.”

While Topo Chico certainly isn’t the first hard seltzer to hit the market, the brand has crafted some delicious-sounding flavors. Per the press release, Topo Chico Hard Seltzer will be available in four varieties including: Tangy Lemon Lime, Exotic Pineapple, Strawberry Guava and Tropical Mango.

Consumers can expect to find it in a 12-count variety pack, 24-ounce singles and 16-ounce cans.

By the end of the month, Topo Chico Hard Seltzer will be available in nine states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas. Consumers in seven metro areas — Boston, Chicago, New York City, Northern New Jersey, Seattle / Vancouver, Washington and Washington D.C. — can also stock up ahead of summer.

Topo Chico’s news comes two days after White Claw announced the debut of its new line of alcoholic iced teas, which are on sale now. As if the alcoholic seltzer market wasn’t saturated enough, Bon & Viv, Loverboy and Truly Hard Seltzer are just a handful of brands that are selling similar products.
