White Claw’s got a new line of boozy beverages just in time for the warmer weather.

The brand announced Tuesday that White Claw Hard Seltzer Iced Tea — a hybrid drink that combines alcoholic seltzer with sustainably sourced brewed tea — is now available nationwide. Just like traditional White Claw, which is made with boozy seltzer, the new drinks are gluten-free, 100 calories per can and 5 percent ABV.

“Since its inception in 2016, White Claw has seen incredible growth, and we don't plan to stop anytime soon. Our consumers crave more flavor and more variety, and that's just what we're delivering with White Claw Hard Seltzer Iced Tea,” John Shea, Chief Marketing Officer, White Claw Hard Seltzer, North America, said in a press release. “You combine the leader in hard seltzer with the ever-growing tea trend, and you've got a winner.”

According to the release, White Claw Hard Seltzer Iced Tea is sold in a 12-can variety pack with four popular tea flavors — Lemon, Raspberry, Mango and Peach. The lemon flavor is “crafted with cold pressed lemon zest, providing just the right balance of zesty and sweet, with that refreshing iced tea and lemon taste,” while the raspberry variety boasts “a fruity berry flavor thoughtfully paired with a hint of tartness.”

If you’re looking for something with a “tropical” taste, the mango alcoholic tea fits the bill, as it features an unmistakable “crisp and refreshing” flavor that’s not too overpowering. And last but certainly not least, the peach tea “has a splash of refreshing ripe peach flavor that’s a little more sweet than tart, embodying the delicate balance of biting into a ripe peach.”

White Claw debuted in 2016 in Natural Lime, Black Cherry, Ruby Grapefruit, Raspberry, and Mango flavors. The brand, which was launched around the same time as the very similar Truly Hard Seltzer, became a social media darling almost instantly.

In 2018, the hashtag #ClawLife took social media by storm, and it seemed like you couldn’t open Instagram or Twitter without seeing someone with a can of White Claw in hand. By the summer of 2019, White Claw had become so popular that there was a shortage, but it didn’t last long.

When the pandemic began in March 2020, White Claw launched additional flavors including Lemon, Tangerine and Watermelon. And by May of last year, White Claw became a hit on TikTok thanks to thousands of videos devoted to White Claw Slushie recipes.
