The dog days of summer are just settling in, but before you know it, ghosts and goblins will be everywhere you turn — especially when you turn on the TV! Starting in September, we’re kicking off a frightful roster of all-new and returning Halloween competitions, featuring some of your favorite chefs and stars. Get the lowdown on what’s coming up.
Halloween Baking Championship: Premieres Monday, Sept. 13 at 9|8c
This season pays tribute to 1980s classic slasher movies, kicking off with host John Henson welcoming 10 brand-new competitors to Camp Devil’s Food Lake where only their baking skills will help them survive. Each week the bakers must create killer cakes, creepy cupcakes and more, all to showcase their skills in challenges that pay homage to quintessential horror films. Judges Stephanie Boswell, Carla Hall and Zac Young will determine whose devilishly delicious desserts earn $25,000 and the title of Halloween Baking Champion! Halloween Wars: Premieres Sunday, Sept. 19 at 9|8c
Over the course of the season, paranormal investigator Zak Bagans takes inspiration from his collection of dangerous and mysterious artifacts from his Haunted Museum in Las Vegas to challenge teams to create frighteningly intricate cakes that are as scary as they are tasty. One team will be eliminated in each episode by a panel of judges featuring Shinmin Li, Aarti Sequeira and Eddie Jackson. And in the end, only one team of elite cake and sugar artists will earn the coveted $25,000 prize. Before the new season kicks off, check out Road to Halloween Wars on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 8|7c to watch how more than a dozen cake and sugar masters proved their chops and fought for a chance to be on the show. They’re baaaaack! Four of the most devilishly disastrous recruits in all of Worst Cooks history are returning to Boot Camp, this time to try their hand at making a freakishly delicious feast with guidance from mentors Anne Burrell and Michael Symon for a chance at $5,000.
Outrageous Pumpkins: Premieres Sunday, Oct. 3 at 10|9c
You’ve never seen pumpkin carving quite like this! Host Alyson Hannigan is back to lead the competition as seven of the country’s sharpest pumpkin carvers face off to create truly haunting designs you’ll have to see to believe. Judges Terri Hardin and Marc Evan will evaluate their creations and determine which is worthy of the sweetest treat: a whopping $25,000.
Kids Baking Championship: Oh My Gourd! Premieres Monday, Oct. 18 at 8|7c
In this special episode, four fan-favorite kid bakers return for a Halloween-themed confection featuring creepy pumpkin patches, 3D pinata cakes and more. At the end of the night, one young baker will earn a dream prize pack featuring $10,000 in essential baking supplies.
