Pizza-Making 101

This book has everything you need to make amazing pizza: foolproof dough recipes, easy homemade sauces, topping dos and don’ts, a guide to essential tools and expert tips from the test kitchen. You'll be making pizza like a pro in no time!

Simple Slices

If you’re a pizza purist, there’s a whole chapter of simple, classic pies for you! You’ll find favorites like this New York-Style Pizza on page 38—it’s so iconic that it serves as the cookbook cover!

Specialty Pizzas

If you’ve already mastered the basics, don’t worry. Food Network Magazine has tons of ideas for taking your pizza game to the next level. Try out the Corned Beef and Cabbage Pizzas inspired by St. Patrick’s Day (page 83) or the Everything Bagel Pizza for fans of everything bagel seasoning (page 76)!

This style is a breeze to make in a sheet pan or baking dish, and the topping possibilities are endless. There are basic (but never boring) variations like this Sicilian Pizza with Sausage and Peppers (page 90), or more outside-the-box creations like the Skillet Taco Pizza on page 97 and the Sheet-Pan Spinach Pizza with Sesame Seeds on page 110!

Great on the Grill

No need to limit your pizza-making to an oven—take pizza night outside to the grill, and get great charred flavor in minutes. Before summer ends, make sure to try this Grilled White Pizza with Fennel Salad. The fresh, raw salad on top tastes great with the rich cheesy crust.

Alternative Pizzas

Think beyond pizza dough! The unconventional pies in this chapter call for puff pastry, French bread, cauliflower crust and more. Discover fun new flavor combinations like this Tahini-Carrot Puff Pastry Pizza (page 135), or the equally gorgeous Heirloom Tomato Puff Pastry Pizza (147). These pies will impress at any pizza party!
