Baking the mini marshmallows for this shake, as opposed to broiling or charring, offers a gentle toasted sugar flavor to go with the salty peanut butter.

  1. Coat the rims of 2 glasses with the marshmallow creme, then dip in chopped salted peanuts or peanut butter cookies.
  2. Bake the mini marshmallows on a foil-lined baking sheet at 350˚F until puffed, 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Transfer the marshmallows to a blender along with the creamy peanut butter, vanilla ice cream, milk and salt; blend until smooth. Divide between the glasses.
