Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Carrots

2 large sweet potatoes, peeled, cubed

4 large carrots, peeled, sliced

2 garlic cloves, peeled

1/4 cup whipping cream

2 tablespoons butter

Salt and freshly ground pepper


  1. Cook potatoes, carrots and garlic in large pot of boiling salted water until very tender. Drain; return to same pot. Mash with potato masher. Add cream and butter and mash until smooth and creamy. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
