Arrange the Cheese

Place a piece of parchment paper on a microwave-safe plate and arrange an even layer of shredded cheese into a round in the center.

Microwave on High ...

... until melted and golden brown in spots, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.

Cool for a Few Seconds

Then, peel off of the parchment and cool completely (it will crisp as it cools).

Get Creative

Make all different sizes.

Try Making Tubes ...

Just wrap a cheese crisp around the handle of a wooden spoon while still warm and pliable to create a tube shape.

... and Baskets!

Nestle a crisp into a ramekin while still warm and pliable to make a little basket.

Voila!

Use them to garnish a salad, crumble into soup or layer in a sandwich for a pleasant crunch. They're excellent for snacking all on their own – especially when you're looking for a cheesy, salty fix.
