Ree likes to serve burgers and tacos when there’s a big game on TV. With smash tacos, she’s combined the two into one delicious recipe. The tacos and the fixins are all set out in an assembly line, so that everyone can make their own.

Directions
Add the ground beef to a large bowl, then sprinkle with the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Combine, then divide the meat into 8 equal balls. Set aside.
Heat a large griddle over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the griddle and add the first ball of seasoned beef. Place a tortilla over the top and, using a burger press or the back of a flat spatula, smash the taco as flat as possible. Repeat with more beef balls and tortillas until the griddle is full. Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and immediately add 2 tablespoons pepper jack cheese to each. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to crisp the tortilla, then remove to a cutting board or platter. Repeat with the remaining beef and tortillas.
Garnish the tacos with the pico de gallo and cilantro. Serve with limes on the side.
