This Halloween, Adam Gertler is taking a twisted tour through the scrumptious world of haunted candy and confections. In the land of chocolate, Hershey, PA, a peanut butter and chocolate classic morphs into a pumpkin, and in Roswell, New Mexico he discovers a candy so sour it is nearly illegal! More tricked out treats include decadent candy-filled cemeteries and chocolate haunted houses... but will Adam be able to stomach a life-size gummi brain?
With Halloween right around the corner, Trisha Yearwood gets decked out in her best Roaring Twenties look and gets help from her friend, Glenda, to decorate for guests arriving in style to their Ghoulish Gatsby Party. In the kitchen, she and Glenda prepare a whimsical menu that includes a Festive Fruit Gelatin Mold, decadent and crunchy Fried Olives, Shrimp Cocktail with Dipping Sauces and Spider Web Deviled Eggs. They also mix up an elegant Apple Champagne Cocktail for toasting.
The Kitchen is full of spooky surprises and a petrifying party menu perfect for Halloween. To start, there's Jeff Mauro's "Mummified" Beef Wellington and Katie Lee's Wild Rice-Stuffed Acorn Squash. Chef Carla Hall joins the party and shares her "Devilishly" Hot Pimento Cheese Dip, and then the hosts assemble medical-themed treats for a "Worst-Aid" Kit. Geoffrey Zakarian bakes up "Dread" Puddings, and Carla returns with a Sparkling Magic Lemonade Punch and a new terrifying touch test to delight party guests.
