Meet the Teams Competing in Season 15 of 'Halloween Wars'

Halloween Wars Season 15 premieres on Sunday, September 21 at 9|8c. This season, Halloween baking fanatics will follow seven teams made up of the world’s best cake, sugar and pumpkin curators. These bakers will embark on crafting the most delicious Halloween treats of all time. The winning team will walk away as champions of Halloween Wars, along with a $25,000 grand prize. Ahead, meet the Season 15 competitors.

Jonathan Bennett returns as the host of Halloween Wars Season 15, alongside judges Shinmin Li and Aarti Sequeira. Jonathan has been hosting Halloween Wars on and off since 2016, but Millennials will recognize him as the Aaron Samuels from the movie Mean Girls (2004). Shinmin brings her award-winning cake artistry knowledge to the show, while Aarti approaches her judging duties as a chef and cookbook author. Just like in past seasons, this trio challenges teams to bring their best baking skills to the Halloween Wars competition.

Team Terrifying Trio is made up of custom cake artists Kelly Shivery (left) and Kylie Holt (right), and pumpkin artist Michael Valeroso (middle). While Kelly and Kylie are proven sugar wizards, Michael is the master of creating unique jack-o-lanterns. People call him “The Pumpkin Master” because anything he dreams up in pumpkin form, he can make.

Team Crumb Creepers is made up of pumpkin carver Anthony Pater (left), and cake artists Vanessa "Vanna" Sampson (middle) and Jennifer Moshier (right). At 22, Anthony is not only the youngest competitor on Halloween Wars Season 15, he's also a repeat competitor. (He appears on Season 12.) As for Vanessa, she likens herself to Beyoncé's alter ego, Sasha Fierce. Jennifer is a self-proclaimed "super-competitive" developer by day and sugar artist by night.

Team Poisonous Perfection is made up of cake artist Karine Turgeon (left), sugar artist Jamie Louks (middle), and professional pumpkin carver Paulina (Goff) Stovall (right). The women are hoping that Jamie's experience on the show — she's made it to the finale twice — will set them on the right path toward a win. "She wants the third time to be the charm," Paulina says of her teammate.

Team Undercakers is made up of expert pumpkin carver Margi Laurin (right), cake sculptor Tenisha Billington (middle) and chef Nils Rowland (left). The trio enters the competition with very different backgrounds. Margi is a 67-year-old mother and grandmother, while Tenisha is a content creator. Nils has competed several times. (He was the Halloween Wars Season 13 runner-up.) Team Undercakers hopes their varied skills will set them up for a win.

Team Oven Coven is made up of custom cake artists Natalie Collins-Fish (left) and Kim Simons (right), and champion pumpkin artist David “Pablo” Smith (middle). Between Natalie's pastry pedigree, Kim's runner-up status on Halloween Wars Season 11 and David's world-renowned pumpkin and ice carving skills, Team Oven Coven hopes to take home the Season 15 win.

Team Wicked Sculptors is made up of pumpkin carver Rebecca DeGroot (left), cake artist Sarina Harnett (middle) and sugar artist Emerlie Miller (right). Rebecca brings wood-working and pumpkin-carving skills to the competition, while Sarina and Emerlie are master cake crafters. In fact, Season 15 marks Emerlie's third time on Halloween Wars.
