Meet the Competitors of 'Halloween Wars' Season 16

Halloween Wars Season 16 premieres on Sunday, September 13, at 9|8c. This year, seven teams of sugar artists and expert pumpkin carvers — all of whom have competed on the show in the past — will battle it out through a series of Back-From-the-Dead-themed confectionery challenges. The winning team will join the coveted ranks of Halloween Wars champions and take home a $30,000 grand prize. Ahead, meet the Season 16 competitors.

Host Jonathan Bennett returns to host another scary season. This year, he's joined by judges Shinmin Li and Andrew Fuller, both of whom are award-winning cake artists with a passion for all things spooky and sweet.

Jamie Louks is a cake-and-sugar artist based in Seattle. She's competed in three seasons of Halloween Wars.

Karine Turgeon is a cake artist based in Quebec, Canada. She and her teammates from this season won Halloween Wars Season 15.

Paulina Stovall also won Halloween Wars Season 15. She is a professional pumpkin carver based in San Jose, California.

Say hello to Team Skeletons, including professional pumpkin carver Kristina Patenaude. The Temple, Texas-based artist was on the winning Halloween Wars team during Season 13.

Susana Mijares is a sugar expert based in San Antonio, Texas. She was on the Halloween Wars Season 12 winning team.

Season 11 alum Lily Halabi is a cake artist based in Harker Heights, Texas. She is the owner of Lily's Cakes.

Enter Team Boo Crew: Nils Rowland is a sugar expert based in St. Augustine, Florida who has competed in three seasons of Halloween Wars. He is the pastry chef and co-owner of Crѐme de la Cocoa.

Mark Lie is a custom cake decorator based in Chicago. He competed in Season 3 of Halloween Wars.

Pro pumpkin carver David Smith is also a world-champion ice sculptor. He lives in Columbus, Ohio and was on the winning team for Halloween Wars: Hayride of Horror, a 2017 spin-off competition.

Cesar Barachina is a sugar artist based in Coppell, Texas. He is the General Manager of Food Hall Operations at Choctaw Casinos & Resorts. This is his fourth time competing on Halloween Wars.

Sabrina Jurado is a cake artist based in the greater Los Angeles area. She competed in Season 8 of Halloween Wars.

Halloween wars alum Anthony Pater is a professional pumpkin carver based in Edinboro, Pennsylvania.

Christophe Rull is a cake artist based in San Marcos, California. He is the owner of Christophe Rull Patisserie.

Liz Marek is a cake artist based in Portland, Oregon. She was on the Halloween Wars Season 7 winning team alongside this season's Team Ghoul’d competitors.

Mike Brown has competed in two seasons of Halloween Wars. He's a professional pumpkin carver based in Springfield, Missouri.

Season 14 competitor Jonathan Elias is back for another go. The pastry chef and cake-and-sugar artist is based in Troy, Michigan.

Elizabeth Rowe is a cake artist based in Dallas. She previously competed on Halloween Wars Season 8.

Season 15 alum Rebecca DeGroot is a professional pumpkin carver based in Spring, Texas.

Marianne Daquino is a sugar artist based in San Diego. She also competed in Season 12.

Season 12 alum William Wilson is a professional pumpkin carver based in Cincinnati.

Tenisha Billington is back for her second season in a row. The cake (and makeup!) artist is based in Passaic, New Jersey.

Tator (Brian) Edwards is a professional pumpkin carver based in Columbus, Ohio. He's competed in two seasons of Halloween Wars.

Reva Alexander-Hawk is a cake-and-sugar artist based in the greater Atlanta area. She was on the Halloween Wars Season 9 winning team.
