Behind the Scenes of Molly Yeh's Magnolia Adventure

Molly and Nick took a break from their massive home renovation and headed to Waco, home to Joanna and Chip Gaines.

A must-see in downtown Waco, the Magnolia Market shopping complex is set around these grain silos originally built in 1950.

While at Magnolia Market, Molly and Nick had lunch at the food truck park. "The brisket melt is an experience," Molly said. The brisket is chopped thick and griddled with sweet caramelized onions, shredded cheddar cheese with a housemade aioli, all on Texas toast with barbecue on the side.

"Everywhere we go, Nick has to find the best taco," said Molly.

Molly and Nick met with master craftsman Clint Harp for help on designing and building a pegboard that will be the centerpiece of their kitchen and a tribute to Julia Child.

"The fried chicken biscuit sandwich is pure, unadulterated music to my mouth," said Molly, "and the biscuits at Milo are life-changing." She just had to get the recipe.

Chef Corey MacIntyre let Molly in on the secret to his fried chicken biscuit sandwich: The chicken is brined for 24 hours before taking a buttermilk bath. And the biscuit is based on a family recipe.

Style Station, a local vintage shop, was Nick and Molly's first stop in Waco.

Nick found his cowboy hat! The two tried on several looks while at the vintage shop.

Molly couldn't show up empty-handed to meet Joanna, so she whipped up some almond butter cookies with rhubarb jam, while Nick provided a soundtrack.
