The Best Dubai Chocolate Bars, According to Food Network Staffers
See which chocolate bars make our list (and the one brand that makes it twice!!)
Ever since it gained massive popularity through TikTok, Dubai chocolate has made a name for itself known for its unique sweet, nutty, and crispy texture. The viral treat, features a creamy pistachio and tahini filling along with crunchy shredded kataifi (phyllo) which is then covered in chocolate. Inspired by the Middle Eastern dessert knafeh, the chocolate has been showing up everywhere including notable restaurant chains, famous supermarkets, coffee houses and even in our very own Food Network recipes.
Being a globel phenomenon, the Food Network editors had to get their hands on a couple bars and try for themselves. Between gooey chocolate and crunchy filling, here are 5 of the best Dubai chocolates we're drooling over.
The delicious, creamy Lindt chocolate you know and love just got a huge upgrade with their Dubai-Style Chocolate Bar. The inside is filled with a combination of pistachios and kadayif threads, giving each bite a slight crunch. I love pistachios, and this tasted just like a chocolate-covered pistachio, in the best way. 10/10 recommend!

I admitted to a few coworkers that I'd never tried Dubai chocolate, and surprisingly, they admitted the same! The next day, my coworker, Abbi McCollum, brought in a bar for us to try: Lindt Dubai Style Chocolate. We all loved the thin pistachio and kadayif filling, and I especially loved the smooth milk chocolate that Lindt is known for. We'll definitely be trying more options and look forward to seeing what others recommend.

Of course when Dubai chocolate was popular all over social media, Trader Joe's had to create their own version. Not only was their take delicious, but it may also be on the healtheir side of sweets. Dubai chocolate is made in Dubai and other “look alikes” are made in Morocco and the dark chocolate versions are 55% cacao. The filling is typically made with a thin shredded phyllo dough (kataifi) to give it its crunch, ground pistachio made usually with added white chocolate, milk, powdered sugar, and sometimes a drop of green food coloring, sometimes tahini and butter/oil to toast the dough.

When I saw that Compartes had a limited-edition Wicked: For Good chocolate collab, I knew I had to try it! If Elphaba was a chocolate bar, she would definitely be the Dubai Pistachio Knafeh Chocolate. A combination of creamy white chocolate, delicate knafeh and crunchy pistachios creates that indulgent and decadent flavor that this trendy treat is known for.

Chocolove's bar has a thick layer of chocolate, creamy pistachio filling and crunchy Kadayif pastry. The pistachio adds a touch of protein, however it does have added sugars and saturated fat and close to 180 calories per ounce. If you choose to eat this indulgence, stick with 1 ounce per day. It won’t have as much good-for-you anti-oxidants as at least 60% cacao dark chocolate.

I remember when Dubai chocolate first went viral all over social media, it was so hard to get your hands on it. Once I finally was able to try it, this Williams Sonoma one was the first Dubai Chocolate bar I ate and it did not disappoint. Their version was crafted with a rich milk chocolate, sweet pistachio cream and a crunchy baked kataifi filling. Perfect balance of different textures of the smooth and crispy chocolate. This bar is by far one of the prettiest with the finishing touches of drizzled tinted white chocolate decorating the surface.
