9 Kitchen Must-Haves Spotted at The Inspired Home Show 2026

We saw plenty of breadmaking essentials across the show, but the Brod & Taylor bread proofing baskets caught our eye. Banneton is the French word for bread basket, and you can pick between a batard or a boule shape depending on your loaf goals.

Two things are unique about these proofing baskets. First, they’re made from renewable bamboo and sugarcane pulp, so they’re super lightweight, stack easily in your pantry, and only need to be wiped clean with a dry cloth after use. Other similar bread proofing baskets are made of wood pulp, but they are thicker and take up more space during proofing or for storage. Second, the Brod & Taylor Bannetons are very affordable. A single basket in either the boule or battard shape is $15.95.

Hestan’s ProBond Luxe line was launched last year and has received praise for being high-quality and versatile, with easy care requirements. The stainless steel cookware is dishwasher-safe and works across all types of ranges, including induction cooktops. On display at the show was a recently launched five-piece set that makes a great gateway into the brand’s handcrafted Italian cookware.

Kitchen appliances that can take on more than one task are in demand, so it’s no surprise to see multi-function cookers rising in popularity. Most versions look like a more advanced slow cooker, but The Sous Multi-Function Cooker from Lotus caught our eye at the Inspired Home Show. It has a sleek stainless steel exterior with a combination of digital controls and a sturdy knob to select the cook mode. A feature we think will get plenty of use for busy home cooks is the Meal Timer mode, which tells the cooker your target end time so that you can count on your meal being hot and ready — not overdone or lukewarm.

Everything about The Sous feels premium, which makes sense given that it’s part of the brand’s Professional Series lineup. What impressed us most is that the seven-quart Dutch oven inside is made of tri-ply stainless steel, while many other multi-cookers we saw are nonstick. This gives the dutch oven the versatility to go from the multi-cooker to the stovetop or oven, and it’s also dishwasher-safe. It’s available now from Lotus and other major retailers, and it has an MSRP of $699.95.

We found a better (and less smelly) way to compost food scraps at the show. Reencle had its lineup of kitchen composters on display, including the Gravity and Prime. Both models have a simple, streamlined silhouette and touch controls that make it easy to operate the composter. We especially like that a wave-to-open sensor on the front of the bin means that you don’t need to touch the composter to toss your kitchen scraps inside.

The composters were in use at the show, gobbling up leftover pizza crusts and other food debris. But you wouldn’t know it from walking by. There was no stench, and the composter is super quiet — it operates at less than 30 decibels. The microorganisms inside the bin work fast; the brand claims the Gravity can handle 3.3 pounds of waste, while the slightly smaller Prime model is equipped to process up to 2.2 pounds of waste on a daily basis. Very busy kitchens that do a lot of meal prep might benefit from the extra capacity of the $649 Gravity model, but we think that most households will find a balance of affordability and functionality with the Prime, which costs $499.

There are no signs of slowing enthusiasm over homemade pizza. We saw pizza pans, peels and ovens all over the show. The Frigidaire Indoor Pizza Oven and Air Fryer stood out for its functional design and cooking capabilities. While most options only offer a small glimpse of what’s happening inside through the door, we were enthused to see a top viewing window for a bird’s eye view of the pizza cooking inside. We also found the controls to be simple and intuitive for those new to pizza-making. The appliance reaches cooking temperatures up to 700 degrees F and includes six preset programs: Stone-Baked Neapolitan, Thin Crust, Pan, New York, Frozen or Custom.

It fits up to a 12-inch pizza and includes accessories like a pizza stone and peel. This indoor pizza oven also has the capability to function as an air fryer, making it more worth the space it occupies on your countertop. It’s available now with an MSRP of $299.99.

Even though we’re not typically a fan of drinking coffee out of stainless steel, we were impressed by the AeroPress Steel. The coffee we tried from the stainless steel version of the AeroPress didn’t seem to suffer from any loss of taste — probably because the coffee sits in the stainless steel chamber for less than two minutes, minimizing the chance that it will develop that metallic taste that comes from drinking out of stainless steel mugs.

One of our favorite things we noticed about the AeroPress Steel is that it has a vacuum-insulated double wall for the brew chamber. This means that less heat is lost during immersion, resulting in more control of the quality of the coffee and the temperature of your brew. Anyone who enjoys a steaming hot cup of coffee is likely to appreciate this feature over the AeroPress Original. It’s available now and retails for $169.95.
