Keep a batch of this ranch seasoning on hand and you’ll have a secret weapon for whipping up a quick homemade ranch salad dressing or ranch dip in 5 minutes or less. You can also use the ranch seasoning on its own to sprinkle over vegetables, flavor proteins, spice up breading, toss with popcorn and amp up weeknight dinners.

  1. For the ranch seasoning: Process the buttermilk powder, parsley, chives, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and mustard powder in a small food processor until the mixture turns into a fine powder, about 30 seconds. Store in a mason jar or tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place for up to 1 month.
  2. For the ranch salad dressing: Stir the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, 2 tablespoons of the ranch seasoning and 1/4 cup water in a small bowl until smooth and combined.
  3. For the ranch dip: Stir together the sour cream, vinegar and 2 tablespoons of the ranch seasoning in a small bowl until evenly combined.
