2 (1 1/2 by 1-inch) slices fresh ginger, plus slices for garnish

1 slice orange


3/4-ounce rum

3/4-ounce orange-flavored rum

2 ounces pomegranate juice

1-ounce fresh lime juice

1-ounce simple syrup (equal amounts sugar and water heated until sugar dissolves; cool)

Splash soda water


  1. Muddle the ginger and the orange in a glass with some ice. Add the remaining ingredients and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with ginger slices and serve.
