Something's Fishy

Episode | From: The Shed
It's adventure on the high seas ... or at least in the Gulf ... when Brooke books a catering job aboard a fishing boat for friends visiting from New Zealand. Brad, however, has other business ideas, and uses the downtime on the cruise to set up a Shed pulled pork sandwich concession with Hobson, right there on the beach. While Brooke and crew catch fish (and have a close encounter with a shark), Brad races back and forth to The Shed on his speed boat when he runs out of sandwiches to sell. Back on land, Big Hoss is recruited by his daughter's summer day camp to give a demonstration on barbecue, and the gentle giant in turn recruits Hazel to come and help him out.

For dessert, Noah snacks on the Monte Cake Cristo, a deep-fried take on the classic American sandwich. Noah also visits the Clark County Fair in Nevada for the Poppin Walla Walla Burger, a towering jalapeno popper stuffed masterpiece, and gets some home cooking on a bun with the Adobo Pancit Hoagie. Then, Noah heads back in time at the Medieval Fair of Norman, Okla., to stuff himself with Thanksgiving Feast Tots and attend the coronation of the Crown Cannoli.

Snack Attack

Episode | From: Kelsey's Essentials
Wish you could make your favorite snack at home? Kelsey shows us with a little inspiration and essential ingredients, anything is possible! After visiting S'mores Bakery and seeing how they turned an American favorite snack — the s'mores — upside down by adding unexpected flavors like orange-cardamom, espresso and lavender, she heads back to her kitchen to make her version of one of her all time favorite snacks — a microwave chocolate cake with peanut butter cream. Kelsey then heads to Kings County Jerky to see how they reinvented the traditional jerky by making a grass fed jerky with flavors like Korean BBQ and Mole. Kelsey makes her version of dried leather by serving up homemade fruit leather. And last, Kelsey makes a "snack attack" of fried chickpeas with parmesan, lemon and almonds.

Geoffrey continues the chain by making his BBQ'd Sweet Potato and Parmesan Souffle with Jeff Mauro's grocery bag, and Jeff uses Katie's groceries for Chocolate Coconut Tofu Ice Cream with Mixed Berry Sauce. Katie and Sunny share their go-to recipes for freezer favorites: Katie's Jackfruit Tacos and Sunny's Holiday Vibe Sweet Potato Patties. Jeff and Geoffrey turn their personal supermarket staples, pickle juice and relish, into superstars with Jeff's Pickle-Slaw and Geoffrey's Classic Egg Salad with Aioli Mayo and Sweet Relish.

Competitive Cooking Family vs. Korean-Jamaican Siblings

Episode | From: Family Food Showdown
A family of competitive cooks who claim they can cook anything must put their money where their mouth is as they face off against a family that represents six different cultures between the three of them. The Holters are self-taught chefs who have taken the world of competitive cooking by storm, placing in the World Food Championships, Culinary Fight Club and countless barbecue competitions. The Mills brothers opened a restaurant fusing their Korean and Jamaican roots, and one brother's wife added her heritage of Honduran, Native American, Sicilian and African cuisine to the mix. Host Valerie Bertinelli challenges the teams to make a fusion dish that represents their family, a burger and side combo and a spicy guilty pleasure, while judges Kardea Brown and the Voltaggio brothers, Bryan and Michael, choose the winner.
