Tia Mowry's husband, Cory, has a lot of single actor friends who rarely get to enjoy a home-cooked meal. Tia's invited them over for a cookout by the pool and she's putting Cory in charge of the grill. On her menu are Jalapeno Poppers, Lamb Burgers, Zucchini Fries and a Strawberry Milkshake.
Casey Webb's search for the best eats brings him to Green Bay, Wis. He gets into the tailgate tradition with a green-and-gold burger piled high with bratwurst, cheese curds and jalapenos. Then he takes part in a local fish fry with flaky Great Lakes whitefish, before he finally faces off with 12 crispy egg rolls.
Casey Webb's nationwide feast brings him to Alaska, where he cracks into crab legs fit for a king at Slippery Salmon Bar and Grill in Anchorage. In Talkeetna, he samples the local wild game, ordering a slab of reindeer meatloaf at Denali BrewPub and the mountainous, double-decker Sewards Folly caribou burger challenge at West Rib Pub and Grill.
On this trip, Guy Fieri's got breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. In Columbus, Ohio, Guy reminisces about Italian beef while loadin' up on a meatball sub and gyro rolls. Then, creative cocktails and a jammin' turkey burger get his attention in Edison, N.J., and in Lansing, Mich., he's finding Middle Eastern must-haves like shawarma and fried kibbeh.
Comfort food: It's the stuff that makes us feel good. Biting into that burger or pizza or fries sends our synapses spinning with glee, reminding us of a time, real or imagined, when life was just.... better somehow. It's that culinary reassurance the editors of Food Network Magazine were looking for when they went hunting for 10 of America's best comfort food locations.
Casey Webb's tasty travels take him to Mystic, Conn., to conquer land and sea with a totally bonkers, Portuguese-inspired burger and a crazy coastal feast of chowder, shrimp cocktail, a bursting bowl of steamers and mussels and a whole steamed lobster. For the grand finale, he takes on a ridiculously massive sundae in Mel's Downtown Creamery's Big Kahuna Challenge.
On this trip, Guy Fieri's goin' fishin' at Flavortown faves. First up, Guy returns to a savory Puerto Rican spot in Orlando, Fla., servin' up authentic Caribbean seafood and barbecue. Then, a bistro in Cranston, R.I., is putting out killer cod and little neck clams. Down the coast in Narragansett, a café is still going strong and firing up next-level burgers.
Our first stop is Mo Gridders, a 35 foot long food truck in the heart of the Bronx in New York City. Serving up almost 3 pounds of prime BBQ ribs a serving and smoked for 6 hours beforehand to get just right, this place is for serious meat lovers. We then roll on into Baton Rouge, Louisiana where the Go Ya Ya truck makes us go gaga over their amazing crepes. Austin, Texas is our next stop for the East Side King trailer serving up highly admired, asian inspired delights such as their Tori Meshi, a deep fried chicken thigh in a sweet and spicy sauce. Last up is the Barbie Burgers truck in Nashville Tennessee, where a real doll serves up classic burgers and shakes out of her huge pink 50's style trailer.
