The Chefs Battling the Titans on 'Bobby's Triple Threat' Season 5

Triple Threat Titans Brooke Williamson, Ayesha Nurdjaja and Michael Voltaggio are going head-to-head against fierce competitors (with familiar faces!) in Season 5. Bobby Flay has invited a dynamic group of chefs to battle it out against his trusted trio, including up-and-coming culinary stars looking for their first win and driven Food Network vets determined to continue their winning streak. After sitting out the competition scene for nearly two decades, acclaimed chef and restaurateur Alex Stupak made his big return to Food Network on Season 3 of 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing. The innovative chef used his Michelin-tier pastry skills and mastery of Mexican cuisine to finish as runner-up on 24 in 24, but now he’s craving a win more than ever. Rebellious, strategic and precise, Alex enters Bobby’s underground kitchen and faces the Titans for a second chance at victory. Will he succeed? Michelin-star chef Buddha Lo has the final say on that.

What better way to settle a 10-year score with Bobby than by entering his underground kitchen? After failing to best Bobby on Beat Bobby Flay, Suchanan Aksornnan, also known and loved as Chef Bao Bao, is doing just that. The Thai-born chef, restaurateur and Chopped champion prepares to call on her roots and showcase her signature global flavors to impress judge Viet Pham. Titan Michael Voltaggio comes face-to-face with his longtime friend and former mentor Kenny Gilbert. The acclaimed chef, author and culinary executive put his signature Southern-meets-global flavors to the test on Cutthroat Kitchen, Beat Bobby Flay and Tournament of Champions VII — and they passed with flying colors, winning Cutthroat Kitchen and Beat Bobby Flay and becoming the only qualifier to advance to the finals on TOC. Kenny hopes his culinary chops will earn him a Food Network three-peat and a Club 3 membership. To make it happen, he must impress judge and James Beard Award-winning chef Nina Compton.

Familiar face and fierce Food Network competitor Chris Oh is walking into Bobby’s underground kitchen with his eyes on the $25,000 prize. The Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded chef and restaurateur is a force in the kitchen and on the culinary scene. He has several Food Network competitions under his apron, including Tournament of Champions and 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing. Oh, and did we mention he was named winner of The Great Food Truck Race, Cutthroat Kitchen and Kitchen Inferno? Suffice it to say, the Titans know not to underestimate the seemingly chill California chef the moment he walks through the door. Will he take another W? Hmong American chef Yia Vang is bringing his singular flavors and fresh Minnesota ingredients into Bobby’s password-protected kitchen. The respected chef is a James Beard Award finalist, host of Food Network’s Stoked and the proud owner of two celebrated Minneapolis restaurants: Union Hmong Kitchen and Vinai. Will his wood-fired cooking defeat the Titans? BeardGlobal restaurateur Michael Mina has the deciding vote.

Chef Angelo Sosa is ready to bring the heat and face the Titans with his worldly flavors in Club 3. The talented chef has a dynamic culinary background, including three-star European kitchens, street food stalls in Southeast Asia and working with world-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. He’s used his travel-inspired flavors and techniques on Beat Bobby Flay, Flavortown Food Fight and Iron Chef America — and now he must impress Michelin-star chef Michael White to leave Bobby’s kitchen with $25,000 in his pocket.

Chef, restaurateur and Food Network favorite Sara Bradley is not to be underestimated. She’s walking into Bobby’s underground kitchen as a Chopped grand champion and runner-up on Tournament of Champions, Season 6. The Kentucky-based chef is bringing her soulful mix of Jewish, Southern and Appalachian flavors to Club 3 to go toe-to-toe against the Titans. Will her culinary creations earn rave reviews (and $25,000) from The New York Times food columnist — and judge — Melissa Clark? Tune in to find out.

Emme Ribeiro Collins defeated Bobby with her signature moqueca dish on Beat Bobby Flay. Now? She’s entering his underground kitchen in hopes of taking down his Titans. Another noteworthy tidbit? This culinary star, known for her Afro-Brazilian cuisine, is on a Food Network winning streak. Along with besting Bobby, chef Emme is a Chopped champion. Chef Susan Feniger is on-site to determine whether she has what it takes to earn her third victory and Club 3 membership.

Katianna Hong is known for her refined and innovative flavors that celebrate traditional French and Korean cuisine. The Korean-born, New York-bred chef now lives in California with her husband (a fellow chef!) and their daughter. The determined competitor has countless culinary accolades to her name, including being the first female chef de cuisine at an American three-star Michelin restaurant. Suffice it to say, she can take the heat in any kitchen. Chef Evan Funke joins Bobby & Co. to decide chef Katianna’s fate.

The Titans face, perhaps, their most daunting opponent of the season when an OG Iron Chef walks through the Club 3 doors. Will the trio have what it takes to keep the $25,000 in-house? Or will the Iron Chef cut through the competition and leave victorious? Bobby’s longtime friend, Stephen Kalt, gets the final vote.
