Freezer meals can be great, except when you don't have an organized way to store them. To make the transition between oven and freezer easier, we suggest opting for containers that can do double-duty. Containers made from borosilicate glass are often both freezer and oven safe. (check your container's package to see what your specific product recommends). While they can be harder to find (we found two sets below!), there are other glass and ceramic sets that can be used for both baking and freezing — though we recommend a defrost in the fridge in between.

You'll also want to keep some safety information in mind before using these sets to bake and freeze. These containers are not broiler-safe, and therefore, should never be used in the oven with the broil setting. And you'll want to avoid major temperature changes when using these dishes (see the defrosting note above) — they could shatter if they go from cold to hot too quickly. When taking dishes out of the oven, place them on a trivet, cloth or potholder, not the countertop. Finally, make sure to review all safety information provided with the product before beginning use.
