The Paloma is the most popular tequila cocktail in Mexico. It uses two of the country's famous ingredients: Squirt, a Mexican soda, and reposado tequila. This recipe captures the soul of the original drink with a few personal upgrades. I'll also explain why you should have a no-fuss approach when creating a salt rim.

  1. Run half of a cut lime around the rim of a Collins Glass then dip the rim into pink Himalayan salt. Add lime juice, grapefruit juice, tequila, a few ice cubes, followed by the soda. Top with a lime wheel and a straw.Add more ice and top with 4 oz. grapefruit soda.
