Nonstick Ceramic-Coated Fry Pan: The Fry Pan features a 2.7-quart, ceramic-coated interior that's ideal for whipping up everything from pancakes to chicken cutlets. In testing, we found that the pan has an effective nonstick coating that's particularly great for scrambled eggs. The eggs pulled away from the pan easily without using any butter or oil — making for super easy cleanup. All nonstick coatings have a shelf life, but this one is very impressive.

Stainless-Steel Saucepan: This incredibly versatile 3-quart saucepan performed well in testing. Our chefs and recipe developers were impressed by the lightweight design, which made it easy to prepare sauces without scorching. If you're not reducing a sauce, the pot is a great size for cooking up fluffy rice or perfectly al dente pasta.

Stainless-Steel Sauté Pan: Called a "workhorse in the kitchen" by our Kitchen staff, this 4.5-quart pan heats and fries evenly. Though heavy, its 5-ply steel is durable and high-quality — and the helper handle makes for easy stovetop-to-oven transfer. It's ideal for searing cuts of meat or cooking a family-sized stir fry.

Enameled Cast-Iron Dutch Oven: Crafted of cast iron with a 3-layer enamel coating, the 6.5-quart capacity of the Dutch Oven is perfect for prepping large cuts of meat or big batches of sauces and soups. During testing, we found that the oven gets hot very quickly, and stays hot to gently cook everything from pasta to pot roast. (Or even sourdough bread!)
