MOSH’s Latest Bar Is Loaded With Creatine and Protein
With 20 grams of protein and added creatine, this snack is designed to help fuel busy days, workouts and everything in between.
Americans are increasingly seeking specific health benefits from the foods they choose. According to the International Food Information Council's (IFIC) 2025 Food & Health Survey, brain function is one of the top benefits consumers are looking for. Healthy aging, muscle health and strength, and endurance are also among the benefits consumers seek.
The same IFIC survey found that "good source of protein" is the most common criterion consumers use to define a healthy food. In addition, a high-protein diet has been the most widely followed eating pattern for three consecutive years, and protein has ranked as the nutrient Americans are most actively trying to consume for five years in a row.
That focus on protein is also reflected in the 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which emphasize the importance of protein-rich foods in the diet and recommend between 1.2 and 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day, compared with 0.8 grams in previous editions.
That's one reason mother-and-son duo Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger co-founded MOSH, a protein bar brand built around brain health. MOSH also supports Alzheimer's research through its philanthropic efforts. Recently, the company launched a high-protein line featuring creatine, two ingredients that are having a major moment in the wellness world. Learn more about MOSH's new lineup below.
What Does a Mosh Protein Bar Taste Like?
As a chocolate lover, I tried the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip flavor. I prefer whey protein as my protein source, though plant-based options are also available. When I took my first bite, I noticed the bar's crispy exterior and moist interior, creating a pleasant contrast in texture. The amount of chocolate felt just right, and the bar wasn't overly sweet. It's also gluten-free and keto-friendly. After exploring the full lineup, the Peanut Butter Cup and Chocolate Sea Salt flavors are next on my list to try.
What's Inside a MOSH Protein Bar?
MOSH's High Protein Bar provides 20 grams of protein, 6 grams of fiber, 3 grams of sugar and 180 calories or fewer. It also contains creatine, a novel addition to the protein bar category.
MOSH bars also contain more than six brain-focused ingredients, including Cognizin® Citicoline, a patented ingredient backed by more than 20 years of research. Clinical studies indicate that citicoline helps support mitochondrial health. Mitochondria are the structures within cells responsible for producing energy, including the energy the brain uses to function. Research suggests that Cognizin® Citicoline may support memory, focus and overall brain performance.
