I don't know about you, but it seems like everyone these days is trying to "protein-max." For some people, that's through protein shakes or lean meats. However, for others like myself, a protein bar is the preferred route.
Last week, LÄRABAR, the brand known for its plant based energy bars, entered the category with new protein bars.
"We heard you. People want more protein, but they don't want to compromise on taste or quality," said Scott Baldwin, vice president and business unit director for bars at General Mills, in a press release. "So, we challenged ourselves to make a protein bar that truly tastes like LÄRABAR, taking everything you love about the original and adding the protein you want."
What are LÄRABAR protein bars?
LÄRABAR protein bars are a take on the brand's beloved energy bars that pack between 10 and 12 grams of plant-based protein per serving. They'd make an ideal post-workout snack or a quick grab-and-go breakfast option when you don't have time to make a bowl of oatmeal or an egg sandwich.
They are available in three flavors:
- Peanut Butter Chocolate: made with real nut butter, chocolate, peanuts and almonds and packs 12 grams of protein.
- Cinnamon Nut: contains peanuts and almonds with a sweet cinnamon flavor that has 11 grams of protein.
- Lemon: a tart and tangy option that blends peanuts, almonds and lemon together for a zesty bite with 10 grams of protein.
It's worth noting that the bars are vegan, made without artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup, and are gluten-free.
Where can you get LÄRABAR protein bars?
If you're looking to get your hands on one of the brand’s new protein bars, they are available in five-count packs and as single bars at retailers nationwide.
