Between powders, meaty snacks and fast-casual bowls, people have been looking for plenty of ways to slip a little more protein into their diet. And now you’ve got yet another option when it comes to enhancing your morning (or afternoon) cup of coffee at Dunkin’. Today, the coffee chain is launching Protein Milk nationwide.
What is Dunkin’s new Protein Milk?
Protein, if you hadn’t noticed, is on-trend with consumers. In September of 2025, Starbucks led the (nationwide) charge in protein-enhanced coffee by adding its own protein milk items to the menu, including both protein milk and protein cold foam. Now, Dunkin is getting on board.
Dunkin’ Protein Milk is a dairy-based substitution that, in the above beverages, provides 15 grams of protein in a medium drink. But, according to the brand, "guests can add Protein Milk to beverages that allow for a milk or non-dairy base, including coffees, lattes, matcha and Refreshers, making it easy to customize any order with added protein.” That upgrade will come with an upcharge which, at my local Dunkin’, appeared to be $1.
What’s on Dunkin’s new protein menu?
Dunkin’ is marking the arrival of Protein Milk with a slate of five new protein-promoting drinks on its menu, including one named for the brand’s new spokesperson, Megan Thee Stallion. Here are all of the new drinks launching today with descriptions provided by Dunkin’:
- Megan’s Mango Protein Refresher: Juicy mango flavor mixed with Protein Milk for a bright, tropical sip, created in collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.
- Strawberry Protein Refresher: A creamy take on the fan-favorite Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher.
- Caramel Chocolate Iced Protein Latte: Bold espresso paired with rich chocolate and sweet caramel flavors and Protein Milk for a smooth, creamy sip.
- Almond Iced Protein Matcha Latte: A creamy iced matcha latte made with Protein Milk and nutty toasted almond flavor, whipped to perfection.
- Iced Protein Latte with Sugar-Free Vanilla: Bold espresso paired with Protein Milk and Dunkin’s first-ever Sugar-Free Vanilla syrup, offering a lighter, customizable option.
In addition to teaming with Megan Thee Stallion, Dunkin’ is leaning into the fitness aspect of protein boosting by releasing its own workout-wear called the “Dunk N’ Pump Collection” at dunkinrunsonmerch.com, available now, and a limited-edition set of Bala Bangles ankle weights (in classic Dunkin’ pink and orange, of course) at shopbala.com/dunkin-bala-bangles starting January 12, 2026. Finally, from January 14 through 16, Dunkin’ will be taking over 6 a.m. classes at participating [solidcore] studios.

What other new menu items are coming to Dunkin’?
On the non-protein-boosted side of the drinks menu, Dunkin’ also added a Cocoa Cloud Latte with caramel chocolate syrup and chocolate cold foam, an oat milk-based Caramel Chocolate Shakin’ Espresso, a Berry Moonlight Daydream Refresher also made with oat milk and topped with Sweet Cold Foam.
Of course, many of us are old enough to remember when Dunkin’ had “Donuts” in the name. The chain is introducing the Golden Chocolate Donut, filled with golden fudge and topped with toffee pieces and chocolate icing.
