1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon fennel seeds

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon black tea

2 teaspoons green cardamom pods

1 teaspoon whole cloves

1 teaspoon ground ginger

5 brown cardamom pods

One 1-inch piece cinnamon stick


  1. Put 2 cups water, the milk, fennel seeds, sugar, black tea, green cardamom pods, cloves, ginger, brown cardamom pods and cinnamon stick into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain into teacups.
