Radishes served with soft butter is a classic pairing. We used that as inspiration for this side dish, where radishes are simply sauteed with butter until lightly browned and tender. Lemon juice and miso paste are stirred in just at the end to coat the radishes in a bright, umami-rich glaze.

Directions
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add the radishes and sugar and cook, stirring occasionally, browned along the edges, about 3 minutes. Add 1/4 cup water and season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer until tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat. Stir in the miso paste and lemon juice until the radishes are glazed; thin with water as needed.
