These savory pesto pinwheels are an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer, side or snack made with just a handful of ingredients. Buttery crescent dough is filled with pesto and two kinds of cheese, then rolled, sliced and baked to golden, cheesy perfection. Ready in under 30 minutes, they’re perfect for entertaining or a quick bite anytime.

Directions

  1. Unroll an 8-ounce tube crescent roll dough and pat into an 8-by-12-inch rectangle. Spread 1/4 cup pesto almost to the edge and sprinkle with 1/2 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan, patting to adhere. Starting with a short side, roll into a log. Slice into 8 pieces and arrange cut-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F until golden brown and the cheese is browned and crusty, about 18 minutes.
