Making homemade candies can be intimidating, but this is actually a quite simple method for making sweet, giftable treats. Follow these straightforward instructions and you’ll have sugary, jellied fruit squares in no time.

Directions
Puree the thawed frozen strawberries in a blender, then strain into a wide saucepan. Stir in the sugar and boil, stirring occasionally, until a candy thermometer registers 223 degrees F, 30 minutes to 1 hour. Reduce the heat to low and cook 3 more minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the liquid pectin.
Pour the strawberry mixture into a foil-lined 8-inch square baking dish and refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares, then toss in sugar to coat.
