These spooky little white chocolate skulls with glowing red eyes are almost too easy to make, and way too much fun not to! With just two ingredients — maraschino cherries and white chocolate — and a silicone skull mold, they deliver big Halloween vibes with minimal effort. Serve the little candies solo for a sweet treat, or use them to top cupcakes, sundaes or anything else that could use a little festive fright.
a 10-cavity silicone skull mold, each cavity about 1 1/2 inches high and 1 inch wide
Gently pat the maraschino cherries dry with a paper towel. Set aside.
Microwave the chopped white chocolate in a medium microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
Use a small spoon to fill each indentation of a 10-cavity silicone skull mold almost to the top with melted chocolate. Press a maraschino cherry in the middle of each cavity so the stems stick out of the top of each skull. Cover just the back of the cherries with a little more melted chocolate. Refrigerate until the chocolate hardens, about 1 hour.
Pop the skulls out of the molds. Keep refrigerated in an airtight container until ready to serve, up to 5 days.
