Grandma Hugelen's Secret Steak Sauce

2 large onions, diced

1/4 cup oil

1 cup sugar

1 cup white vinegar

5 ounces Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard

32 ounces ketchup

Hot sauce


  1. Saute onions in oil in a heavy skillet. Add sugar, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Add ketchup and simmer for about 20 minutes. Season, to taste, with hot sauce.
