1/2 ounce pure cane syrup, such as Monin

1/4 ounce fresh lime juice

Splash soda water

8 mint leaves

2 lime slices

2 1/2 ounces sugar cane juice

1 1/2 ounces white rum, such as Myers's White


  1. Muddle the mint leaves and fresh lime in a cocktail shaker. Add the sugar cane juice, rum, cane syrup and lime juice and shake well. Pour into a 12-ounce glass and top with soda water.
