2 ounces rye whiskey

1 ounce fresh lime juice

1 teaspoon finely grated ginger

1/2 ounce maple syrup

2 ounces soda water

Lime wedge and candied ginger, for garnish


  1. Place the rye, lime juice, ginger and maple syrup in a shaker and shake until combined. Pour over crushed ice in a glass, top with the soda water and serve with a lime wedge and candied ginger.
