Ingredients

6 eggs

1 cup cream

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

12 slices thick bread

2 cups coarsely ground almonds

2 tablespoons butter

Powdered sugar

Sliced seasonal fruit

Directions

  1. Beat the eggs, add the cream, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Submerge the bread slices in the egg mixture for 5 minutes. Lay both sides of the bread in the almonds to coat. Heat the butter in a heavy pan until the foam subsides, then add the slices of bread. Cook over low flame until delicate brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, garnish with sliced fruit and serve hot.;
