Elk or Else!

Four new chefs battle to see if they have the chops to win Chopped. In the appetizer round, one competitor makes a risky choice to prepare a basket ingredient in two different ways. Will her dish be a hit or a flop? Then in the second round, the chefs are challenged to make excellent elk entrees in just 30 minutes, or else face elimination. Finally, ice cream nachos in the dessert basket seem whimsical, but the final half hour in the Chopped kitchen is not all fun and games for the final two chefs.

Get a sneak peek as Alton Brown has this round's judge, Jet Tila, test out what it's like to shop using a fish skewer and cook while wearing a giant chicken leg and wing. The special fried food competition begins as three chefs have to carry a huge fish around the kitchen as they make fish and chips. Then, two chefs have to wear giant chicken parts as they make fried chicken. Finally, one chef gets sandwiched between two churros as they make a churro ice cream sandwich.

With just two spots left in the tournament's $50,000 grand finale, four winners return to try to beat the odds and be victorious again. As time runs out in the first round, one chef struggles to get every ingredient onto every plate of his smoked eel appetizer: Will he do it? Two very different styles are represented in the dessert round, featuring araucana eggs and coconut macaroons, leaving the judges with a complex final decision to work out.

The chefs think they've caught a break when they find catfish in the first basket, but will the cherry soda sink them? But as the two remaining champs push themselves to make a dish to clinch the win, they take some risky chances.

Wok This Way

The judges are curious to see what is in store for them when one of the competitors breaks out the wok. And some of the chefs appear less than confident when they present the appetizers made using trout and white chocolate. Then, creativity abounds in the Entrée Round, when the chefs get a whole new set of mystery ingredients including whole coconuts. Alas, two Japanese ingredients appear in the dessert basket, and the judges hope the final course will be as impressive as the previous two.

When time runs out on a frantic Appetizer Round, two of the chefs are unhappy with what did not make it on to their calf liver dishes in the final moments, while one chef is upset that a little something extra accidentally did. Then in the Entrée Round, it is up to the judges to determine who fell short with the long beans and whose cuttlefish was a cut above the rest. And the two finalists devise ambitious plans for using a salty condiment and a sweet fruit in their desserts.

Christmas Family Fun

Host Eddie Jackson welcomes five fabulously festive cookie makers into Santa's workshop. First up is the decorating challenge where the bakers craft two different decorated Christmas tree cookies. After judges Ree Drummond, Dan Langan and Aarti Sequeira size up the trees, they must release two cookie makers from the competition. The remaining three finalists are "puzzled" by the display challenge where they must create a giant cookie puzzle based on a Christmas carol. All the pieces will fit together for the one talented cookie maker who will leave the North Pole $10,000 richer.

Cast-Iron Secrets

Octavia Spencer and Edgar "Dook" Chase hope to learn some family secrets in this duel of the cast-iron pans. In the first round, twin brothers Jeremiah and Zach, aunt and niece Cynthia and Legenia, and fiancés Ovi and Hannah present their best cast-iron dishes. Two teams move on to round two, where they'll be wishing they put hot sauce in their bag to take on guest judge Tina Knowles' family favorite recipes. Only one team will impress the judges enough to pay their bills, bills, bills with the $10,000 prize.

New School vs. Old School

Guy Fieri wants to know which culinary form is best -- tried-and-true classical techniques or molecular gastronomy -- so he has invited two old-school and two new-school chefs to test their skills against each other. First, Guy has each chef make their signature dish featuring a special ingredient. Then the final, winner-take-all round has the remaining chefs make a chicken dinner with an item from the infamous Food Wheel. One chef will show whether old-school or new-school techniques dominate and go on a shopping spree worth up to $20,000.

Roll It on Over

Rachael Ray has two versatile mini-recipes that you can roll over into five full-fledged suppers. The first rollover recipe is Buttermilk Ranch Brined Turkey, which Rachael uses in three of the five meals: Dish one is Turkey and Corn Chowder With Bacon and Chipotle, dish two is Pilgrim Casserole layered with Thanksgiving favorites and dish three is Turkey and Poblano Red Eye Stew. The other rollover is a Beef and Tomato Base, which is the foundation for dish four, Beef Picadillo, and dish five, a Beef, Bacon and Onion Sauce With Bucatini.
