Check your pans. About 740,000 sauté pans sold by Costco, Walmart and Amazon are being recalled because they may pose an impact and burn hazard.

Which sauté pans are being recalled?

The recall, issued April 2, applies to the Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pans — both the 10-inch and the 11.5-inch size — which were sold as a two-piece set. The UPC number for the set is 0-80313-08131-6.

The pans were manufactured in China and imported to the United States by E Mishan & Sons, Inc., of New York City. Approximately 740,000 units are subject to the recall, according to an announcement posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website.

Where were the recalled saute pans sold?

The Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pan sets were sold between August 2021 and February 2026 at Costco stores and online at Costco, Walmart and Amazon. They were priced around $40.

Why are the sauté pans being recalled?

The pans are unsafe to use because “the metal cap on the screw that connects the sauté pan to the handle can become detached and forcefully eject when heated, posing impact and burn hazards to consumers,” according to the CPSC notice.

Have the recalled pans caused any injuries?

Yes. The CPSC says the company behind the recall knows about “at least 98 incidents where the metal cap detached and ejected from the pan, including one report where a consumer received bruising and burn injuries.”

What should you do if you have the recalled sauté pans?

You are directed to immediately stop using them and contact the importer, E Mishan, to return the pan for a full refund.

Where can you get more information about the sauté pan recall?

You can reach E Mishan toll-free by phone at 888-230-6698. You can also find more information online on Granitestone’s website.
