Costco Recalled a Ready-to-Eat Meal Sold in 26 States
It may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Costco shoppers, check your fridges: The membership-based chain is recalling a popular ready-to-eat-meal sold in its warehouses in 26 states, due to concerns that it may be contaminated with Salmonella.
If you bought Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes and Glaze at Costco in the past two weeks, here’s what you need to know:
What product is Costco recalling?
Costco sent a recall notice to members who may have purchased “#30783 Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes and Glaze,” sold at warehouses in 26 states between March 2 and March 13, 2026, that they may be at risk.
The recalled Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes and Glaze meals were labeled with sell-by dates between “03/05/2026” and “03/16/2026” and were sold at Costco stores in: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Why is Costco recalling the meals?
The supplier of one of the ingredients used in the meatloaf, Griffith Foods Inc., has recalled the ingredient because it may be contaminated with Salmonella. Costco did not name the ingredient in the letter sent to its members.
Symptoms of Salmonella infection can include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps. They can hit anywhere from 6 hours to 6 days after consuming contaminated food and last for between four and seven days, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Young children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems are at higher risk for severe or even fatal infection.
Has anyone been harmed by the recalled meals?
In its letter, Costco says it has received no reports of injuries or illnesses related to the recalled Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes and Glaze meals.
What should you do if you bought the recalled meal?
Do not consume any element of the recalled meal.
“You can return it to your local Costco for a full refund,” Costco says.
