It's a weekend of photos, fun and style as Ina Garten's old friend and photographer Miguel joins them for the weekend. For his Friday night arrival, she makes Spicy Hermit Bars, then while Miguel and Jeffrey take test shots for a new Barefoot style book, Ina prepares Saturday lunch of Zucchini and Goat Cheese Tart and Tomato Carpaccio.
Ina takes her inspiration from Parisian markets, food stores and street cafes and translates scary traditional French recipes into easy foolproof have a go dishes. Recipes include: lemon chicken with croutons, French string beans and caramelised shallots influenced by the Parisian rotisserie, grilled sour dough topped with arugula and goats cheese and smoked salmon and cucumbers
The chefs race to figure out what to do with a seafood product and some boozy veggies in the first round. Then, the judges must decide who's got the chops to get goat chops just right in the second round. Finally, a tough dessert basket, which includes a cheese and a vegetable, keeps the finalists scrambling to the end.
Ina enjoys a girls day off with two of her closest girlfriends. She prepares a pre-shopping snack before heading to Main Street for some serious retail therapy and then rustles up a light lunch for them to enjoy while comparing purchases. Recipes Include: Sour Cream and Coffee Cake, Grilled Peaches, Goat Cheese Salad, Sunrise Smoothie.
Valerie Bertinelli is doing a remote segment for the Today show and sharing a peek behind the scenes. After a busy morning, she fixes herself a satisfying meal of Mediterranean Chicken Thighs with Potatoes, Peppers and Feta, Herby Couscous and a Cantaloupe Gin Fizz that complements the dish she's made for the show, Asparagus Goat Cheese Puff Pastry.
