We love the Instant Pot for many reasons. It’s easy to use, saves time and is super versatile — and, best of all, it’s almost always on sale. We’ve seen some of the biggest discounts on major sale holidays like Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday, but we’ve also found that, if you know where to look, you can almost always snag a great deal.

Before we get carried away, let’s make sure you know the basics of this trendy gadget. We said we love the Instant Pot for its versatility, and we meant it. This gadget works as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, steamer, rice cooker, yogurt maker, sauté pan or warming pot. All you have to do is plug it in and choose your preset (or select a manual setting). Since it replaces so many other countertop appliances, the Instant Pot is definitely a space-saving must-have for small kitchens.

If you’re trying to get dinner on the table as quickly as possible, you’ll love the pressure cooker function. Worried about losing great flavor? Use the sauté function to brown meat and veggies before programming it to slow cook. Or, you can use it as a slow cooker to make your favorite comfort-food recipes.

Because it’s programmed with so many different functions, the Instant Pot is great for making tons of different dishes. Seriously — there’s hundreds of recipes just on FoodNetwork.com, and the search results on the web yield an overwhelming amount of ideas. From family-friendly weeknight dinners to delicious desserts, the IP is a kitchen gamechanger.

We especially love using the Instant Pot to cook anything that typically takes a long time to prepare, like beans, roast, hearty stew or melt-in-your-mouth carnitas. And unlike slow cookers, you can use the Instant Pot to cook frozen meat. It will take longer for the pot to come to pressure, but you’ll still end up enjoying a set-it-and-forget-it meal. Plus, you won’t have to preheat anything in the oven or turn on your stove!

Whether you cook for two people or twelve, there’s an Instant Pot size for every appetite. The Mini 3-quart model is great for side dishes or cooking for one — though you might not have any leftovers. The 6-quart is our go-to size and probably the most popular option, feeding 2-4 people. The largest 8-quart size is great for large families, meal-preppers and anyone who loves a potluck.

For some of our favorite Instant Pot recipes, you’ll need to invest in some accessories. You’ll need a springform pan to make creamy cheesecake, Instant Pot-safe liners for muffins or cupcakes and silicone pans for baking breads and cakes. We also recommend investing in a lifting contraption to get this stuff safely out of your Instant Pot once they’re done cooking!

Best of all, when you buy an Instant Pot, you join a movement. The Instant Pot Community on Facebook has nearly two million members, and is a great resource for tips, tricks and recipes. And if you’re ready to refresh your cookbook collection, there’s tons of literature focused on Instant Pot cooking. Whether you’re looking for healthy alternatives or comfort food classics, Indian cuisine or Mexican recipes, there’s an IP cookbook for you.

And you don’t just have to take our word for how great the Instant Pot is — thousands of glowing reviews at our favorite retailers sing the praises of this multi-use cooker.

On Amazon, one reviewer calls the Instant Pot an, "absolute gamechanger for time-starved cooks, busy moms and weekly meal-prep. This is hands-down my new favorite kitchen appliance, and it has saved me so much time. Dinnertime is a little easier at my house thanks to the IP!"

At Macy’s, one appreciative reviewer calls it her best purchase ever. "It has helped me create last-minute dinners in an hour or two versus four to five hours. I don’t have to stand in front of the stove or monitor my sauces. This pot is an extreme time saver."

Now that we’ve convinced you to buy one, here are all the links to check before you take the plunge. We bet that at least one of them is on sale at the moment.
