Don’t be fooled! These may look like French fries made from potatoes, but they are in fact parsnips! Preparing them in an air fryer give these fries a crisp exterior while keeping their interiors super soft. We serve them with a smoky BBQ sauce that'll easily become your new favorite condiment.

Directions
Preheat an air fryer to 375˚ F. Peel the parsnips; cut into thick matchsticks. Toss the parsnips with the olive oil, 1 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Cook in the air fryer in 2 batches until golden and tender, 15 to 20 minutes, tossing halfway through. Serve with a mix of the barbecue sauce, mayonnaise and the hot sauce to taste.
