The key to getting a good char on your shisitos here is to make sure they are very dry and the pan is very hot when you add them in. Weighing them down will also help get a nice, even char.

Directions
Heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat. Toss the shishitos with the vegetable oil.
Add the shishitos to the skillet in one layer. Set a second skillet on top to weigh down the peppers; cook until blistered, about 2 minutes. Toss, then continue cooking with the skillet on top until blistered and slightly wilted, 2 to 3 minutes. Sprinkle with flaky salt and lemon juice.
