Tea-Infused Overnight Oats

Ingredients

1 cup whole milk

2 chai tea bags  

3/4 cup rolled oats 

1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds 

1 tablespoon light brown sugar 

1/4 cup whole milk plain yogurt 

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon  

Kosher salt 

Toppings: shredded coconut, sliced bananas, pinch of cinnamon  

Directions

  1. Bring the milk to a simmer in a small saucepot over medium heat. Remove from the heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and set aside to cool.
  2. Meanwhile, add the oats, flaxseeds, brown sugar, yogurt, cinnamon and a pinch of salt to a 12-ounce mason jar. Pour in the milk and stir with a spoon. Cover the jar and refrigerate overnight, or at least 4 hours.  
  3. To serve, open the jar, stir and add desired toppings.
