1 cup fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish

1/2 cup sugar 

4 cups ice 

1 cup tequila 

Zest of 1 lemon plus 1 cup lemon juice (from 5 to 6 lemons)


  1. Put the mint, sugar and 1 1/2 cups water in a high speed blender and blend until very smooth. Add the ice, tequila and lemon zest and juice and blend to the consistency of a slushy. Pour into glasses and garnish with mint leaves.
