Spicy Shrimp Topping for Guacamole

Ingredients

8 ounces cooked shrimp, chopped

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 

1 teaspoon chili powder 

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 

1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper 

1 lime, zested 

2 cups guacamole, store-bought or homemade 

Directions

  1. Put the shrimp in a medium bowl, drizzle with the olive oil and toss to coat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the chili powder, cumin, salt, cayenne, black pepper and lime zest. Sprinkle the spices over the shrimp and toss thoroughly to combine.
  3. Pour the guacamole into a serving dish. Mound the spiced shrimp on top and serve immediately.
