2 avocados

1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro

1 tablespoon red or white wine vinegar, plus more if desired

1/2 jalapeno, minced 

1/4 small Spanish onion, minced 

Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper


  1. Put the avocado, cilantro, vinegar, jalapeno and onion in a mixing bowl. Crush with a potato masher or fork until the mixture is half creamy, half chunky. Season with salt and pepper and add more vinegar if desired.
