1 cucumber, grated

1 tomato, chopped finely

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt

A pinch of salt

A pinch of pepper


  1. Place the cucumber and tomatoes in a sieve for about 15 minutes to drain off any excess liquid.
  2. Put the buttermilk and yogurt into a bowl and stir well to combine. Stir in the drained cucumbers and tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
