Southern Sangria

2 cups fresh orange juice, plus 1 orange, sliced

7 ounces ginger liqueur

1 cup raspberries

1 cup strawberries, sliced

1 lemon, sliced

One 750-milliliter bottle sweet white wine, such as Moscato or Riesling

One-half 375-milliliter bottle whiskey (14 ounces)

Ice, for serving


  1. Combine the orange juice, orange slices, ginger liqueur, raspberries, strawberries, lemon slices, wine and whiskey in a large pitcher. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours 30 minutes, then serve over ice in rocks glasses.
